Ladies and gentleman,

Yesterday evening we received official information that Lou Reed will not perform on May 15th
in Lublin. At the concert in the courtyard of Lublin Castle Laurie Anderson and John Zorn will perform with the outstanding bassist, Bill Laswell.

At the same time we would like to apologize all fans of Lou Reed.  We would also like to inform that the change is due to reasons beyond us, the organizers of the Festival of Traditional and Avant-garde Music CODES.

NOTICE!!!

We provide a return of costs for tickets all who want to cancel their tickets. Nevertheless we still invite you to participate in CODES.

All who paid by transfer and want to cancel their ticket for the concert on the 15ht of May at the Lublin Castle need to send us an email with the following details:

All who have purchased tickets at the box office of the Lublin Philharmonic, may request a ticket return only with the receipt of payment.

CODES Festival goes out to the students with a unique proposal – a chance to meet famous musicians and composers. The meetings of students with Laurie Anderson, John Zorn and Philip Glass will be held in the large auditorium of the Faculty of Humanities MCSU. The artists will talk about their work and are willing to answer questions from their fans. The moderators of the meetings are lecturers of MCSU’s Institute of English, Andrzej Antoszek and Paweł Frelik.

Audio-visual performance “Past and Future” will take place at the Workshops of Culture (5 Popiełuszki Street) and not at H.Ch.Andersen Theatre as we informed before.

Festival of Traditional and Avant-garde Music  “Codes” won first place in the plebiscite of The Most Important Cultural Event in 2009 in Lublin! The organizer of the plebiscite was Gazeta Wyborcza. More information here
